Due to shortage of trained staff in the Energy department on petroleum issue, SPC faciliatated the attachment of 2 government officials from Kiribati & Tuvalu. The South-South cooperation for capacity building and Development in the Pacific, enables participant to do practical attachment in a Fiji based oil company. Tuvalu official spent one week attachment at Pacific Energy in Suva, Fiji Islands from 23 - 27th February 2015 whilst Kiribati energy is attached at Mobil Fiji.
